Sharing some wonderful news (it’s pretty cool too :-)).

The Learning Hook has just picked up three industry elearning awards from LearnX, as voted by our industry peers. Like all projects, each of these was achieved by many individuals and team effort. All the details are below.

Platinum for Best Accessibility Project – Awarded to Vision Australia, CoTé Software and Solutions and The Learning Hook, for Vision Australia’s ‘Better Outcomes’ suite of training (Person Centredness, SMARTA Goals, Note-taking and Transdisciplinary Practice). This piece of work went well beyond WCAG AA and general online approaches to ‘accessibility’; it’s much better described as ‘accessibility with UX’. Ticking WCAG AA boxes is easy enough, but making it a great user experience for everyone was the real achievement.

Gold for Best Compliance Training – Awarded to Australia Post Group and The Learning Hook, for the Better Decisions suite of training. This was a massive piece of work where Australia Post and The Learning Hook worked together through the policy architecture (52 policies remapped to areas of interaction in the business), which then led to a new standard in ‘how we do policy training’. This is online awareness training at its best.

Gold for Best Bitesize Learning Solution – Awarded to Vicinity Centres and The Learning Hook, for the Everyday Leader series of ‘learning bytes’. These short and sharp five minute micro-learning moments are part of a much broader blended leadership program and served to set the workshops up with a common language for participants, while adding to the sustainability of the whole initiative. We have to mention CurveGroup for this work too, as it was Curve Group and Vicinity who developed some amazing content for our learning designers to begin with, the amplification we then achieved through our digital solution was much greater as a result, while Curve Group and Vicinity then brought the whole program together in the blend.

We’re so pleased to be recognised in this way and especially for all the people involved in each of the projects. You know who you are, and we are completely chuffed for you and thank you for all your hard work.

Looking forward to seeing you all at LearnX in Sydney later this year.
